Doodhsakhar Mahavidyalaya, Bidri has its own ‘C’ shaped building at the back of canal and at the bottom of hill. The college has good infrastructure with basic amenities. The details are as follows:


* 5 spacious halls (can accommodate 200 students)
* 8 Classroom (can accommodate 30 students).


Library is situated on the first floor with all necessary facilities. There are 22350 books in the library and well attached with furnished study room.


Well equipped 12 spacious Science laboratories for the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Mathematics, Zoology, Statistics and Botany.

Computer Lab:

ICT equipped 02 computer labs with latest configuration 60 PC’s

English Language Lab:

Well equipped language lab contains 12 terminals.

Administrative Office:

The administrative office is located at the ground floor Lan and computerized system and facility of Xerox machine for students and staff is made available. The facility of attached toiletbathroom and small kitchen room is provided for staff only.

Principal Cabin:

Spacious and well furnished Principal’s cabin, college campus is equipped with CCTV technology, Whole campus is connected with Lan and internet, Rest room with attached toilet-bathroom is joined to administrative office.

Ladies Room:

The ladies room is located at the ground floor and by the side of staffroom. It is big and specious equipped with proper seating arrangement, Notice board, Mirrors, separate pure water facility and 4 toilets and 2 bathrooms.


Big specious and well furnished staff-room is located at the ground floor with capacity of 60 staff and is separately facilitated with telephone, Drinking water, separate toilets and bathroom.

Gymnasium Hall:

2 specious Gymnasium Halls are built separately beside the main building.
* Hall 1 – used for indoor games and has a separate cabin for physical director.
* Hall 2 – well equipped with Gymnasium tools.

NSS Room:

Beside the Gymnasium Hall a separate NSS room is built up.


The canteen is located at the north of college building, separately built and equipped with good seating arrangement and drinking water facility. It provides necessary tea, snacks and eatable items.

Drinking Water:

Pure Drinking water is being provided to the students. The water purifier and cooler has been situated at the left corner of the main corridor of the building. The separate water tank is being situated at the right corner of the open corridor so as the students, players can become fresh. Besides every department in the college building has the facility of drinking water. 20000 liters of water is stored on the terrace of the building.

Botanical Garden:

The botanical Garden is developed in the North-east side of college building. It contains useful medicinal plants, variety of flowering and other plants useful for study of Botany. It is surrounded by wire compound. The separate water tank is being situated to supply the water to the garden. The proper care is taken by the Gardner to protect and conserve the plants.


Two-wheeler and four-wheeler parking area is made available by the college.

Play Ground:

The big playground is being facilitates by the college for various games including. Cricket, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Volley-ball etc. The separate Tar-court is for basketball and Running track for athletics are made available. The size of the play ground is 105mtr x 160mtr.

Ladies Hostel:

The Ladies Hostel is located in the midst of Bidri Sugar factory colony, which is on the way to college. The ladies hostel building is O shaped, big and specious measuring 1000sqmt It consists of 12 big, well furnished room with capacity of 5 bed each. Besides this, it has a specious kitchen ……….. (mtr ……….mtr), a big dining Hall, a visitors hall, a store room, a RE-creation hall’, and a Rector’s Residence. On the both sides of the rooms there are separate Toilets and Bathrooms- 6 each. At the entrance of the Hostel, the Ramp facility is made available. In the kitchen, Drinking water and toilet blocks and bathrooms, separate water connections are provided with ample water.
